Over the
past 2 years, Pacemaker has been busy creating,
planning and finally designing advanced flow and sound
concepts to make one of the best performing aftermarket
exhaust systems going around.
Pacemaker
a long time performance header manufacture has always
recognized the need to produce a system to compliment
their range of popular high quality headers but
Pacemaker has also recognized that there would be no
point releasing another hi-performance exhaust system
into the market place that was essentially the same as
everybody else.
That’s why
Pacemaker has spent so much time developing one
of Pacemaker latest and most important inventions. Code
named
V-Tex™,
Pacemaker has developed a new and improved
exhaust merge by incorporating a clever design. In
exhaust design, gas merging is necessary for effective
and efficient savaging. Pacemaker’s new merge pipe is
capable of out-flowing an x-pipe merge by as much as an
extra 90 cfm (independently tested)
Along the
way Pacemaker has also added other features into the
design to compliment the quality of the new systems.
This
design work has included:
1)
Flow bench testing using
purpose made plastic and metal models
2) Dyno
testing flow bench results
3) Testing
fitment and longevity of components
These
tests have resulted into designing some very high
features:
1) High
flow merge (patent pending) not available anywhere else
2) Rolled
double skinned 409 straight through mufflers for
increased life
3) Adjustable
rear hanger design to ensure the best fit
The first
system made available is to suit VT-VZ sedans. These
systems are made completely from durable 2 ½” 409
stainless steel (except for hangers and flanges) and
come complete with new rubber hanger and clip kits for
the best fit possible.
